Some shocking scenes in the crowd, game stopped twice because of racist chanting. A chance now that it won't make it to 90mins, one more incident and I can't see how the game finishes.

As Ian Wright said, no one wants to walk off but why should our black players have to play through that.

Don't know what the rules are, but teams should be given a 20-0 loss, be fined all TV and attendance money, be made to play their next three home games behind closed doors and not be allowed any support in their next three away games. It would be horrible for the rest of the supporters, but might actually get some of these countries to take these problems seriously - hopefully before they occur. Some of the perpetrators (who thankfully now seem to have left) were filmed. What chance any sanctions being taken against them?

Bet this gets tasty after the final whistle (whenever that might be). Hope the England fans go all 1990s on them.

I think the only answer to these idiots is to ban their country from all international football for a period of time. Only then will the governing bodies of these countries take action to stamp it out.

Fifa (andUefa or whatever it is) have a habit of doing 'nothing' or all but nothing ( as on previous occasions) when it comes to these kind of incidents , sadly

Until England walk off and embarrass the authorities, nothing will change.

UEFA will huff and puff, fine Bulgaria, etc etc, but embarrassing them on international TV with their sponsors names in the headlights by walking off the pitch, it's priceless coverage. Or fans need to effectively petition sponsors to remove their money from UEFA tournaments until they do something about it.

on the football side - huge improvement after Friday's boring game.
as for the racists - small minded idiots. sad it's still happening, not just in sport but everyday life

Clubs refusing to play on the Champions' League might get their attention, never happen of course, money always trumps morals.

So what was the point of your comment?

What's the point of any comment on this thread? It's not a 'come up with ideas to help eradicate racism in football' thread. It's a general discussion about the racist element within this game and I hope England fans give them some this evening. Sorry if my opinion upsets you.
