General 2019/20 First Team Squad

Looking at our squad as it is now I think we will be very strong in the Nobody cares unless you get to Wembley cup.

Probably forget someone but I’m quite happy with our top 18.

Easty

Cadden - Dickie - Moore - Ruffels

Gorrin - Brannagan

Henry - Woodburn - Fosu

Taylor

Stevens, Mousinho, Thorne, Hanson, Forde, Zamouri, Ageyi

Mackie, Hall, Sykes, Berkoe, Long et al can’t even fit on the bench.

good to have a final day of the transfer window without any panic buys.
would’ve liked to have seen a permanent striker but that’s not a bad bit of business done.
well done and cheers to all involved

Thought I'd put forward a few ideas for lineups and formations this season, we've got a number of impressive options:

4-3-3:
Eastwood
Cadden Dickie Mous Ruffels
Brannagan Gorrin Baptiste
Henry Taylor Fosu

SUBS: Agyei, Thorne, Mackie, Woodburn, Forde, Long, Stevens

4-2-3-1:
Eastwood
Cadden Dickie Mous Ruffels
Gorrin Baptiste
Henry Brannagan Fosu
Taylor

SUBS: Agyei, Thorne, Mackie, Woodburn, Forde, Long, Stevens

3-5-2:
Eastwood
Long Dickie Mous
Cadden Brannagan Gorrin Baptiste Ruffels
Henry Taylor

SUBS: Mackie, Agyei, Thorne, Woodburn, Forde, Fosu, Stevens

3-4-3:
Eastwood
Long Dickie Mous
Cadden Brannagan Baptiste Ruffels
Henry Taylor Fosu

SUBS: Agyei, Mackie, Thorne, Gorrin, Forde, Woodburn, Stevens

3-4-2-1:
Eastwood
Long Dickie Mous
Cadden Brannagan Baptiste Ruffels
Henry Fosu
Taylor

SUBS: Agyei, Mackie, Gorrin, Forde, Woodburn, Thorne, Stevens

Some really good options there, but I think my favourite would be the 4-3-3.

From what I've seen, I prefer Mous to Moore, but it's early days, so I'd be happy for Moore to prove me wrong.

There's obviously an argument to start Agyei in each of those formations for his pace, and maybe I'm being too cautious, but he does seem a bit raw, so maybe this season he'd be better off being regularly used from the bench, while he gets used to regular first team football, but he could be used in Henry's or Taylor's positions, depending on form and fitness.

If Thorne could get up to full match fitness, he may end up claiming a first team place, but weather or not he can get fit, and stay fit, remains to be seen.

Woodburn needs to do more on a consistent basis if he wants to claim a regular starting place, but will be great to have on the bench if not.

There'll no doubt be people who think I'm mad for some of my selections, and will probably have their own ideas as to what they think would be best, but either way, we really do have lots of options, and good reason to be optimistic for this season, and the future!

COYY

I saw yesterday that Liverpool aren't happy with the game time another player they had loaned out to a Championship side & had started to talk about invoking a clause that meant more money had to be paid for the player!
So that sounds like that Woodburn could be playing awful but still get to start games to avoid any extra payments having to be made as it appears that Liverpool have this in all loan agreements!

I actually think that Woodburn has been playing well. He's been very unlucky not to have scored more goals.

To imply that we're only playing him because it would cost us more is a little daft IMO.

Never said that What I was saying was that even if he wasn't doing well there may not be the flexibility to leave him out as there would be another player

It depends on the deal.
Didnt Woodburn go on loan last season and hardly play? PL clubs loan players out to get game time and to develop them.
Woodburn has already played quite a few games for us and I reckon he will only get better.

Is that online anywhere? Been trying to find those all week!

More or less random numbers by a collective that hasn't been at the matches, I imagine (well the numbers suggest it). Money for old tat.

Also why are our players in out of date kits?! Mackie still in qpr I think? Henry and a few others in Clotet Era kit.. Not that it matters but it's shoddy
