8pm kick off ... first of the two semi finals , can England progress ?

Will the Lionesses roar to victory over the current WWC holders the, (arrogant n maybe over confident?) Yankesses ? .... our pride of Lionessess are more than capable of going all the way .... hoping the officials are up to standard and the intervention of VAR is not required

its looking like its a sell out crowd in Leon tonight .... and its expected that over 7.5 million will watch tonights semi final live on TV

The controversial appointment of Phil Neville seems to have really work for this team and the women's game. Will the critics eat a small slither of humble pie now?

Good luck to them tonight.

Prior to Neville’s appointment we also reached two semi-finals in major tournaments - and that was before millions was pumped into the game and players were full-time, so don't think crow has to be eaten unless we win the tournament.

Bit confused by what you mean by "and the women's game" though? In what sense? ?

I'm nervous - have been all day - but think we can win it. We must tighten up at the back though because the Americans are clinical and won't be nearly as forgiving as the teams we've played so far.

Come on England.

keep it tight, cut out sloppy passes and dont get sucked into the Yankesses way of play and the Lionesses should win

my only real worry is the quality of match officials.... and hoping that VAR doesnt intervene at all

work comittments mean Ive got to pop out for about 2 hours! ... hoping to make the kick off ... get this in early ...

Come On You Lionesses

Players were full time and have been for a while, certainly from before those semi final appearances.

More money has gone into the management/coaching structure recently but it wasn't insubstantial for those 2 competitions we made the semis previously.

I should have said fully-professional - I was referring to the whole of the top tier of women's football in England, which only went fully professional last season; only since then have all players been full-time.

At the moment the US are the far better team.
They scored a very good goal and could have had more ...

Fair dos. That said those in the England set up were pretty much full time for those competitions.

It isn't looking good for England at the moment as the US look comfortable.

Cracking equaliser totally against the run of play.
White is an old fashioned goal poacher. She sure knows where the net is.

Enjoying the game but really wish Jonathan Pearce would shut the f**k up. Non stop drivel full of pointless facts and details, just can’t seem to stop talking.

He does have verbal diarrhoea and makes watching some games hard work.

Cracking equaliser with a classic striker's finish.

I wouldn’t say our equaliser was against the run of play. England were probing when they scored.

The defensive shape has been bad at times. The US are loving running the channels and sending crosses in.

England's weak link tonight and in the last few games she's played is Bright. She just doesn't look up to the same standard as the others unfortunately.

As we are so strong on our right, the US have targeted and had a lot of success down our left hand side.
They are by far the better side but we have made chances and are still in it.
