8pm kick off

Lionesses should beat Argentina ( no hand of god-ess type cheating hopefully!)

Watching. Impressed with some of the skills. Also it's nice not to see the theatricals and diving we see in the mans game. A bit of over playing at times by the lionesses. Other than that... good entertainment.

Might not be so pleasing on the eye if there was a Windass in the team...?

I just admit that I have been disappointed in the lack of quality.
Agree that it is refreshing the lack of cheating although Argentina are spoiling quite a bit.

Good goal.

On an unrelated matter, Jill Scott has been rubbish when heading at goal so far.

Yes the heading ay goal has been very poor.
England should be 4 up if they could take their chances

Well they got the win they deserved but if they'd taken their chances it would have been comfortable.

They have plenty to work on but they don't want to peak this early anyway.

The Argentine keeper was player of the match for me.

The England passing and heading/shooting was awful. The French or the USA would have racked up a handful against Argentina.

Lionesses qualified for the last 16 with a game to spare

Usually you would want to rest a few players ready for the knock out rounds but England get a much better draw if they win the group. They also face a very good Japan team in the last group game so it will be interesting to see what Neville does with his team selection.

People say the quality isn't as good as the mens game but I disagree. I just think the women's game is a lot slower as the players don't have the same pace or power as the men.
Having been to a lot of live women's football then I have to say the pace of the game is no different to that of a league 1/league 2 game.

No but it would be a closer game than a lot of people would think.

Why make comparisons with the mens game? I am enjoying the England peformances having never watched womens football before. We should enjoy it as a separate spectacle same as we would do for tennis or athletics for example.

I agree with you, but there has been a lot in the media doing just that.

It's just good football at the end of the day.
