Lovely to see Zebroski miss to gift Salford a win on penalties, even though I’m from Hampshire.
Surely has to be Salford in the league

Quite an end to end game. Both keepers made crucial saves. Had to say I thought Eastleigh were going to get it. Zebroski did look a bit of a donkey when he came on., poor kick far too close to the keeper.

Just to also mention, Brackley Town out of the Conference North playoffs, lost to Spennymoor on penalties.

Woking through to the Conference South playoff final though. Not sure if our loanees played.

Bit disappointed Chelmsford missed out in the play offs too. That must be the fifth time they’ve missed out

wonder if Salford Eastleigh playoff result proves prophetic for Eastleigh's former owner SD (& his bag man) ? in that their train set comes off the rails over the 2 leg l1 semi finals?

12 years since Chris Zebroski missed that penalty for us. Reassuring it’s not just us that he misses pens for.

I really hope not. It will be another class-of-92 w@nkfest

Whilst I'm not keen on Fylde as they are a hobby/protest* club, I hope they beat Salford for this very reason. Sadly, I can't see past Salford.

*They are a protest club as the owner bought them and spent loads as he failed with his bid for Oyston's Blackpool.

Why were you pleased about that? Because it involved a bloke who played for us briefly ages ago? I don’t get it. I can understand disliking Salford or any team with a high profile backer but not really Eastleigh

Don’t mind Eastleigh too much. It was Chris Zebroskis attitude to us when he left. See he’s only recently come out of jail although of course he’s deemed to have repaid his debt to society

If Salford do indeed get promoted, you feel they've got the potential to actually grow into a fairly sizeable club - picking up disillusioned and/or priced out Man U fans who are lured by the local club steered along by their heroes.

(FC United of Manchester still get crowds of around ~2,000 but they've just been relegated back to the regional leagues, so you have to assume a bunch of them will jump ship...….)

it will be a sad day for league football in England should they attain promotion,.... albeit (currently) unofficial, (Salford not officially manure b team), they conceivably could, quite quickly, with class of 92 involvement, mutate into a prem club b-team!

it would be the first rung of the ladder to Shaun Harvey's B- teams in the EFL ...at the expense of long term lower league clubs IMO

Really don't want Salford to do it, can just imagine the smugness if they go up

Can just imagine them doing something ridiculous like getting Welbeck in on a free transfer, if they're promoted to League Two.

They'll do something like that.

When they were in the Northern Premier League Division One North (i.e. Tier 8), they signed Danny Webber, one of their old youth teammates from Man U, fresh out of League Two. Unsurprisingly for someone with a couple of hundred Championship games to his name, after dropping down four whole tiers, he was quite effective at their level!

Some of them have already jumped ship.
