Stewart Donald anyone.....

Fylde currently beating Solihull in the playoff semi-finals.

Don't know much about them apart from that they're managed by former long-throw specialist Dave Challinor, whose reputation in non league management has been exceptional.

good, hope it stays that way at full time

Just looking at his Wiki article, he only managed five games for us in his two loan spells.

Well, Sunderland's result today has rather left them in a hard position to get up this season. They seriously needed a better quality track on their train set didn't they? Choo choo

Finishing fifth is a massive failure when you look at the money they've spent on top of a squad of PL and Championship players. They may have taken their foot off the gas today, but a win would have given them 2 games against Doncaster, who looked nothing special. Instead they've got Portsmouth who have already beaten them at Fratton Park and Wembley. Even if they got past Pompey, they're likely to face Charlton who are the form team (but still not as good as us!).

I wouldn't be surprised to see SD and the chino kid bail during the summer if they don't go up. Buying Sunderland was a gamble worth taking, but only if they got up straight away. Another season in league 1 might leave them dipping into their savings a little more than they'd have liked.

Does the Fylde coast really need a third FL team? Seems a bit excessive but I suppose it would be another potential visit to Black Vegas.

If they did take their foot off the gas then Southend have clearly benefited and Plymouth have not.

Sunderland have won 1, drawn 2 and lost 3 of their last 6, so maybe they've just bottled it at the wrong time and Southend have rightly benefited. Either way, it's 46 games that take you down or keep you up, not just the last 90 minutes.

Don’t get too excited with your mag there Scotchegg.

The Fylde coast doesn't need 2 teams, nevermind 3. That said, if Eastleigh don't win it (I don't think they will) then I'd definitely prefer Fylde over Salford.

I believe both Fleetwood and Fylde's owners were both Blackpool supporters who tried to buy Blackpool from the Oystons before buying their present clubs.

Can’t see much of a crowd at Wembley for Fylde vs Salford/Eastleigh. Fylde are there the following weekend as well against Orient in the Trophy, so two long treks.

The new Rushden and Diamonds, isn’t the Fleetwood owner looking at buying Blackpool, without him Fleetwood disappear faster than they rose up.

Haven't a clue if he is trying to buy them but it would be a nail in their coffin considering his (dodgy) company are the ones that rent the stadium's office space which provides vital income.
