1. Will the budget be increased with the addition of billionaire board members?

KR:
There won't be a bigger budget just because of the calibre of board members.

2. Will we be able to boost funds in January if we're pushing for promotion?

KR:
Yes, if we're pushing for promotion and need extra funding to get it over the line, it'll be available.

3. How do you feel about the change to the EFL transfer windows?

KR:
It's great in terms of being able to replace injuries and outgoing key players.

4. Which loan players would you like to keep?

KR:
Browne, Garbutt, and Kashi. We've been in contact with the clubs and made them aware of our interest.

5. Stadium situation?

KR:
We'd love to have a stadium of our own at some stage. However we have an obligation to the lease we have now, and home results have been good at home this season.

6. Is a striker going to be one of the additions this summer?

KR:
Mackie has all the right qualities. But we're relying too much on goals throughout the team this year.

7. Wheres the next Kemar Roofe coming from?

KR:
Kemar is a perfect mould for what we want. Benik Afobe type, gets in behind defences. Jerome Sinclair can be that type of player. It's hard to find a 25 goal striker, and harder to keep them.

8. Fiacre Kelleher?

KR:
We won't be moving forward with him. Worked hard in pre-season, but we chose to go with different options.

9. No player awards dinner?

KR:
Too much criticism throughout the season. Felt wrong to celebrate the season at the time when the league position had been poor.

10. Plans to host an open day at the Kassam?

KR:
Kassam is out of the question, only so many days option on the Kassam in the summer, save them for friendlies. Will hopefully do some stuff at the training ground for community building

11. Full back cover?

KR:
Need right sided full back, certainly. Long and Ruffels have been sensational, but we do need cover.

12. Where will Jamie Hanson play this season?

KR:
He has to make himself a better player to force himself into the first team. Been difficult to live up to his price tag. Will play in centre mid against Luton.

13. Dan Bond jokily asks about swimming as a form of warm up

KR:
Upset by the Plymouth comments. There's a reason why Premier League teams all have swimming pools.

14. Does Karl bear a grudge against grumpy fans from earlier on in the season?

KR:
Never tried to prove people wrong. Have been willing to take responsibility for poor results. Hope to do better next season

15. Are any first team departures this summer?

KR:
Players have been told they're not for sale this summer, unless a ridiculous offer comes in.

16. Impressions of the board of directors?

KR:
They're here for the long term, they were excited by the noise made in the stadium, and our style of play. Been told we can't sell our best talents. Sustainability of this club is key.

17. Has Erick Thohir replaced Tiger as the owner?

KR:
Tiger has assembled a very good board. Erick is influental, but I don't believe he's taken over. Can't say 100%, but he certainly wants to have a say in the decisions made.

18. Nelson and Dickie offered deals?

KR:
Dickie has been offered a deal. Nelson wants to play in the Championship, but has been offered a contract. We'll see what happens.

19. Replacing Shaun Derry?

KR:
I've known for months, the commute is too much for him. Faz is an important figure, and he's staying. The young coaches need to be brought through. Mousinho is definitely a candidate. I'd love to give him that opportunity.

20. Pre-season plans?

KR:
Going to Portugal to train. Can't say who the marquee game is against, but it kind of is already out there, I just can't confirm it.

July:
9th - Oxford City
10th - Thame
11th - Brackley
13th - Woking
20th - Championship Team (H)
23rd - Championship team (H)
27th - Solihull Moors.

21. Changes to be made to avoid the same slow start? Chris Short will help as he wasn't here last summer?

KR:
Chris Short is the best. I usually have a record of good starts. Injuries didn't help this season.

22. Amy Cranston as the club physio?

KR:
Amy is a machine, done incredibly well with all the injuries this season.

23. Is Jake Scrimshaw on Karls shortlist?

KR:
He's done very well on loan at Poole. James Constable told him about Jake.

24. Which player has surprised Karl the most in the squad this summer?

KR:
Long and Ruffs have done well. Cameron Brannagan has improved in the central midfield role, Kashi has helped him improve. But most of all Gavin Whyte. Exceeded all expectations. made mistakes, but has humility and is an all round good guy.

25. Best signing at Oxford, and all-time.

KR:
Here, Gavin. Bringing Dele Alli through, Darren Potter, Tarique Fosu probably all time best.

26. New home kit?

KR:
Can't confirm the release date. Home kit is quite a bit different, not similar to this year. Away kit is completely different, I really like the colours

27. What is expected of the youth and scholars?

KR:
New scholars will be pushed and show they are capable of being professionals.

28. What is the number one position to fill this summer?

KR:
Same as every other team, a striker.

(To be updated as questions come in)

Pretty sure 7 was someone suggesting we sign Kemar Roofe...

I'm very disappointed about Kelleher. Would really hope we'd give him a squad opportunity this season. If not he's a very saleable asset to League Two.

interestingly no mention of Sinclair in loans he wants to keep

Have to say, that’s the best interview I’ve heard with Karl. Sensible answers, honest and kept his cool didn’t go listing targets or getting carried away. As well as admit his faults. Next season is sounding better by the min

Was it me or did KR seem slightly subdued compared to normal?
He said that he was very excited about the young players. They have been set a lot of work in the summer and gave to prove that they can do it.
The marquee game is against a large club 'a brand'. At their ground.

I genuinely like the guy, he seems to be very caring of the club and the fans. Either that or he’s an absolutely superb bullshitter. I’d like to think it’s the former.
Reckon it's a bit of both to be honest.

Have to respect there judgement on Kelleher if they don’t think he’s good enough. I’ve only seen him once in a pre season friendly so couldn’t really comment either way.

23) Bit of a Porkie from Karl! He’s banged in 3 hat tricks against the youth team this season including one where Robinson was In Attendance! He and the club know very well about him!

Was that your question then?

Chris Short...Craig's his brother.
Top job by the way! (y)

Pretty sure he signed in June 2017 on a two year contract, so will be released. So no fee coming in

Is my point. Would have liked to extend just to see how he's improved. And if not, a L2 team would definitely take him for a fee.
