Just watched him on the ifollow Karl on Wimbledon at home. Actually very articulate. "You are coming up against a team which is honest, hard working, got some talented players in it and the managers done an unbelievable job" - I assume he was talking about us, rather than them :) Shout out to himself :)

For me no. The way he has thrown others under the bus, recruitment catastrophes. I thought how he spoke of Pekalski after the Plymouth away game wss disgraceful. A season of fighting relegation. Hopefully he will bring success if he is to stay. I follow the team, watching most games, travelling a couple of thousand mikes plus a season to support the team not the manager.

End of the day , he as turned the corner with results! So weldone for this , and lets see how the start goes next season with I hope with better results. And a better squad who can start running , not like this season.

It annoys me why he has to big up the opposition the way he does prior to KO. I realise the reason why but I still think he goes over the top with his praise of the their manager and team.

Oxford suits Robinson, he's local and knows this level. I can't imagine that he'd be looking to rush to another club, and I can't imagine he'd be massively in demand. So I don't think there is any rush to sign him up and it is worth focusing on the team until September/October.

But there can be few who wouldn't recognise the progress Robinson has made. If we put the blame at his door for signing Sam Smith and Ricky Holmes then we also need to give credit for him signing Whyte, Kashi, Sinclair, Sykes, Graham, Mackie etc. He has developed players like Baptiste and Long, introduced youth when appropriate and given more ownership to senior players. Eastwood, Mackie, Nelson, Brannaghan, Mous and Henry have all taken on leadership roles this season.

He has adapted his play to get the best from the players available, and has delivered play off form over the last 30 games and promotion form over the last 8. We've seen battling performances, freeflowing football and some rubbish, but generally we look to play football the right way.

He cares about the club and is involved in everything from top to bottom. Arguably he has become much stronger since all the off field issues have happened and has had to put up with more than most managers would ever dream of behind the scenes. He might not always come across polished in the press, but who honestly cares? If we were at the top of the table then no one would give a toss what he said after the game.

So, other contracts are more important, but we could do a hell of a lot worse than to give him an extension when the time is right.

OMG @Scotchegg I actually agree with you.... I need to lie down :)

In fact I would go further and say I don't blame KR for Sam Smith, Norman, McMahon, Hanson, Garbutt, Dai and any other failed signings. There was something going on last Summer we don't know about. Maybe Tiger being too involved? I don't know but something not necessarily under KR's control. It looks like that's all but sorted given the signings we made in Jan. Lets hope it's a very good Summer.

Anyone know what happened at the end of the game yesterday, Robinson was fuming, got a feeling one of the Wimbledon staff said something to him, he waited till the guy came back off the pitch and then seemed to be having a go at him???

Think Downes refused to shake his hand at the final whistle

Downes did shake his hand. It was their kit-man that refused.

Classy.
That's exactly what happened. Not even any pushing just verbals but their kit man refused to shake Karl's hand and KR was going on at him about being disrespectful. Kit man shot off over the over side of the pitch looking at the GK coach for help - he was bricking it and GK coach looked towards the bench as if to say "what's all that about".

KR waited whilst all the other OUFC players and staff had gone to dressing room and stood right in front of the tunnel.

I was a bit surprised that Derry / Faz etc. weren't there trying to calm KR down, but I could understand if they didn't see it to be honest. Look on the kit mans face when he came back over and saw KR was still waiting was a picture!!

23 points in the last 10 games. Some hard fought, ground out results, some fantastic football. Tactics adapted to meet the players available and opposition. A clearly united and together squad that fight for each other, and celebrate as one. The likes of Sykes and Long proving that they have more than enough to be first team regulars next season. What's not to like?

Your life must be torture, all that travel to watch something you feel is awful

Why is that a problem?
Beating them is the only thing that matters?

Because its as though he is covering himself for whatever the result is. Ready made excuse if we lose, all the more praise if we win.

Well in the past 15 games or so he hasn't has to worry about losing much!
Just the winning.
Personally I don't care. I want us to win.

Lord Wilder was always doing it, difference is wilder played not to lose whilst Robbo still tries to win the game

You have got to give KR credit, the management and players have turned our season around since Xmas, no owner in their right mind would offload a manager on the run we have put together, looking forward to next season already and hopefully a good start so everyone is on board.
