And Eastwood
How the club persuaded him to extend his contract is beyond me. He must have been heavily sedated to put pen to paper. One slice of luck, I suppose. Saying that, fans were certainly not over impressed when he arrived.

I’m not entirely convinced that Eastwood is very happy at the moment. There’s been a couple of incidents in the media recently that look a little bit like he’s undermined Robinson a touch. He completely contradicted him regarding the penalty shout against Gillingham, and also came out and said that Mous should always play if fit. It could be argued that that it isn’t his place to pick the team. I wonder if he’s as fed up with Robinson and his BS as the rest of us? I certainly wouldn’t blame him, he’s been sold a complete lemon.

yeah i was thinking similar. is that first signs that Robinson’s losing his players? considering results and performances so far they seemed to be behind him (well publicly at least)

He has and I believe he has an option for out

I assume he agreed to stay on the proviso the club were about to bolster the side with some "WOW" signings.....which never happened.

Having slept on it I don’t think a point is the end of the world. Yes, it was there to be won, however conditions weren’t great and we could have easily lost it. IF (and I know it’s a big if) we win on Saturday then that will be 10 points out of a possible 15 if I’m not mistaken. That is decent enough form to see us safe.

Sinclair and Sykes both need to come in. I can’t knock Mackie’s effort and commitment. He just isn’t enough of a goal threat for me. Either play them both, or it has to be Sinclair. Not sure what Sinclair did to be dropped. Played well at Blackpool, brace against Scunthorpe and was ok with no service at Gillingham. Henry needs to be left out for Sykes. Henry was our best player in the first half of the season, however recently he has been poor. On the flip side, Sykes has looked very good since his debut at Accrington.

I would also like to give a special mention to Curtis Nelson as others have already done so on here. He was absolutely brilliant last night. 3 goal saving tackles, hit the bar and you could hear him organising and being a leader. There was a lot said about him after the Plymouth game, but I think he deserves enormous credit for the way he has handled himself. I know he is not going to be here next season (regardless of wether we stay up) and many would have phoned it in, become a negative influence in the dressing room or forced a move in January. I think I am right in saying he is our only player to play every league minute this season. That alone tells you all you need to know.

He also spoke out about the striker situation in January. Saying everyone knows we need strikers or words to that effect.
I think he signed because he's happy in the area and as you say was 'sold a lemon' on the players to be signed and the clubs ambition.

Well, lowly Bratfud up next. Should be a stroll in the park. Everyone is beating them.......

?

Eastwood has be rocky all season. He has been dodgy at crosses and commanding his 6 yard box and beaten too often from long range shots. Yes he has pulled off some nice saves but imo has been average at best.

Glad I'm not only one who thinks this. Also been so slow when he catches at a set piece to do anything with the ball.

Has the injury knocked his confidence a bit?

Agree with you entirely here - as others have said, he was given a load of bs by Robinson and that (as well as being settled and having had a few good seasons here) swung it - clearly now realises the way in which Robinson and Tiger have spunked away virtually everything good here and probably wishes he had gone - sad but true
Having thought about it more and more, Robinson's bizarre comment that he knows how to win matches has irked me more and more - either he is seriously deluded or a moron (or both) and he clearly thinks we are all morons to be taken in by his inane and insane drivel

The most worrying thing about Robinson is that there’s absolutely no sign of contrition from him considering how the season has panned out following all the big promises last summer. I think if he walked into a room of Oxford United supporters he’d expect pats on the back all round and a heroes welcome. His self confidence has to be grudgingly admired I suppose and, I assume, stems from constantly being reassured about how good a job he’s doing by Tiger.
