Working group meeting tomorrow

Wife and I go in the bar regularly before games but unfortunately can't make it tomorrow. I thing they could do with taking out some of the snooker table and replace them with more tables and chairs.
Too noisy, too much going on and not set up to suit my preferences as a pre match hostelry .... ill be visiting js for the meet ing tomorrow though

The place isn't my cup of tea, but let's not take away from the fact this is primarily a pool/snooker venue. Don't want to alienate their typical customers otherwise they'll end up in a situation like the Priory where they rely solely on Football.

When I'm in there the snooker tables are never used. I've got no problem with the pool tables which are always busy, there just isn't enough room for more tables particularly as they do food.

Indeed @Finlandia ... my pre match requirements tend to not include a multitude of sports on view as well as pool /snooker etc .. ...a few beers, cigs and a bit of banter re the forthcoming game /oufcs fortunes in general, usually all at the same time, is good enough for an old dinosaur with no interest in pl, championship or teams from elsewhere in the world, or eggchasing etc .... to each thier own applies :).... good luck to js sports bar as oufc supporters club pre match

Communication.... matchday experience...ticketing... engaging youngsters/ school kids ... js sports bar (as matchdays supporters club) .... improving the aforementioned where ever possible

i believe a 'report' will be issued from last nights fans n club working group in due course?

unlike the inaugural meeting (at cpf) yesterday was more of a formal, albeit informal (if that makes sense/) meeting, with Matt Everett chairing the meeting

Quite agree. Bin Caroline.

One other thing - does the club own the flags / have the Ultras been asked to donate them?

Hopefully it will get binned in the summer based on those notes and something our own selected.

Pre match music is shite, and the seating/tables in J’s Sport Bar are not positioned correctly. I’d either remove them altogether or have them in rows. You get people sat on seats then no one can stand to see large screen without being moaned by people say 25mtrs away saying the cannot see!

The club does not own any flags, never has done (unless you count the oxhead ones the kids wave when the players come out!). A few of our best flags will be placed into long term storage, many will probably be destroyed as their condition are quite poor anyway.

The giant Ox Head surfer (unveiled at the Woking conference game) is owned by all the fans. I still have this with me after we used it at Oldham away I'll return it to the stadium at some point, or pass it over to someone who'd like organise it being unveiled at another game :) Likewise I have a large amount of "Yellow Army Wavers" which we don't own, just used occasionally before making our own ones, so happy to return these too. They are the big "2 stripe" ones below.

Which are the flags for which you asked for a donation to a short while back?

That was most likely the 125th anniversary display. We may have asked for an ultras 10 year display too (can't remember now!) but we didn't receive many donations and scaled it down, then had to spend what we had left on flag poles when they all broke ?
