Mixter is leaving his post, also some explanation about the Ultras. Another s**t PR day for OUFC!

The club has come out with quite a scathing statement backing him. I don’t know many of the facts and I obviously don’t condone personal abuse but the chasm between the club and the fans is growing wider by the day.

Agree.

Also likely that this whole sorry episode re - Ultras, Safety Officer, Stadco and the delayed midday opening of the stadium has been hugely exasperated by the club’s stance with Kassam.

Yes he’s going but he’s going because of abuse towards his family, yes he should go but his family do not deserve that.
The whole situation this season is rapidly going toxic. I don’t want to hijack this thread with issues covered elsewhere but I think we’ll get a statement very soon from FK with his side of the story. It could be quite uncomfortable for our present board and I can’t see anything other than another war of words breaking out. That, and the current level of performance from KR and the first team could make for a very dark time in the clubs history over the coming weeks. I dread to think where all of this is heading but a quick scan of the OM website makes for very grim reading for all with the OUFC close to their hearts.

That’s the point. No one deserves that for doing their job.

The ticket office staff don’t deserve to be sworn at and told where to stick their season tickets after a loss.

A safety officer that has worked tirelessly to make things meet regulations doesn’t deserve to be abused or threatened for doing their job.

Some people might not agree with the whys or how’s things are done, but they are normally done for a reason, and without Ian large parts of the stadium would probably now be out of use on match days.

Staff on the ground often go above and beyond with little thanks in difficult circumstances. Most deserve a medal for what they put up with.

Why do explanations quite often miss the point were the ultras informed that they could not put flags up at 10.30 anymore? Or did they forget to inform them?

I agree but have been a bit towards the management and owner this season

I think that’s a very fair and reasonable post. Personal abuse cannot be condoned.

I still feel the club’s decision to clearly P**s off Firoka has directly contributed to the whole Ultra/Safety Officer/StadCo stand-off.

The end result being disbandment of the Ultras, resignation of the safety officer and now a winding up order issued by Firoka. The club have truly fucked us big time.

This is a tip of an iceberg for a much bigger problem in football (and the world in general), that only seems to be getting worse.
A mob mentality of bullying and abuse (largely propagated by the ability to hide behind a computer screen).

Really need to be a cowardly little p*ss-ant to do what people did to this man.

I recall there was some similar abuse of Mixter around flag gate, and I can understand why he's binned it off. It just ain't worth the grief.

It does show that there are two sides to every story, but the chances of knowing the truth are pretty slim...

Whilst no-one can condone any personal abuse or threats towards someone's family, the club could, and should, have put out a proper statement at the time of the incident with the Ultra's explaining why they had to take the actions they did. Moreover, they could have prevented any animosity by being open and honest about the situation with Stadco/FK from the outset.
That they did not, is testament to the incredible mismanagement of every part of the club at this time.

It is very apparent that the non-payment of the agreed service charge was known about for some time and yet, in similar manner to unpaid tax, the club has ducked the issue and waited for the brown stuff to hit the fan. Shame on you!

What kind of man is Tiger that he does not meet his obligations both financially and morally?

What kind of employer ignores his duty of care to his employees?

How can he have been deemed a fit and proper person to purchase OUFC?

It’s obvious now why the Ultras were not allowed into the ground at the normal time of 10.30am that they’ve become accustomed to e.g. non payment to Firoka.

As others have said There is no way that an individual and family should be threatened.
It does seem to be further poor communication from the club though.
If it was nothing to do with Mister why didn't the club simply state that it was a Stadium company decision and nothing to do with Mister?
Would it not have been possible to have contacted the Ultras or to explain things to them * or had the relationship broken down that much?

Agree with everything you've said.

Being competent at your job does not give you the right to be a bully though.

Having read the clubs explanation, the suggestion is that the Ultras tweet was may have not been that clear ....
