I see in the programme on Saturday in Chris Williams feature "Short trip to Sunderland" he says "There has been a subtle change to the matchday routine at Oxford this season. Everything opens at midday, so a six hour set up has been condensed to half that time, which means that as soon as we get in the building there is an almighty scramble of people doing their matchday thing"
Realistically how can you expect the staff to work under these conditions and prepare and plan properly in 3 hours for a professional football match being attended by 10k+?
If arbitration is settled and all bills paid surely this farce simply cannot continue.

Will staff still get paid the same?

Hope this isn't some way of saving a few pennies. Treat staff with respect or they'll leave.

And what is shows is that while the Ultras have been treated unfairly, it's really no different for the club either. We have a s**t ton of money for that level of service? It's almost worth an arbitration process isn't it?

As ever there are different people with different viewpoints both positive and negative on a multitude of matters. Sometimes it is appropriate to focus on a common issue. My opinion is we should all be focused on somehow ridding our club of Kassam. Picking on various staff members up to an including Tiger is an easy pickings, why? Because they are new, with the majority of them not being with the club for more than a couple of years so they are seen as outsiders with an agenda to make supporters lives a misery.
To me not only are they the wrong target, I find it disrespectful, they are people trying to do a job under challenging circumstances - they are no different to anyone else with a job - there's good and bad. Let's focus on the person who has continually damaged our club for his own warped agenda. Let's work with the club and support them and see where it takes us, lets be united against Kassam and stop confusing matters by picking on the club - rant over.

I did have a dream some months back that I paid a tramp €20 to push FK into the harbour in Monte Carlo. He did it and it was brilliant.

Not that I’m suggesting any acts of even mild violence towards FK or course.

Listening to Jerome Sale's rant on RadOx about Stadco and the toxic relationship with the club reminded me of a comment made by Darryl Eales a couple of years ago. DE: “It’s a weakness of mine, but I don’t know how to deal with Firoz effectively. I have tried multiple strategies.......Being nice to him didn’t work and not being nice to him didn’t work." Tiger must now be coming to the same conclusion - end arbitration to improve relationship and what happens - Ultras get turned away at their normal arrival time.
Kassam has no interest in improving the relationship, there's no extra money to be had if he does, so why should he? He has little interest in football and for reasons we can all guess at, has a grudge against the club and its fans, for which he is now exacting his retribution.

I just wonder if there are any monies owed to Kassam following the arbitration that haven’t been paid, hence the continued toxic relationship.

Radio Oxford were quick to have FK on after the fans forum debacle so let's hope they are on the dog and bone to the tax haven to ask him about this.

If the club owe any money to FK he will simply take them to Court.

So the noon thing was known to the club I time for the printers deadline so plenty of time to make a phone call to the Ultras. Did the club not contact the Ultras and tell them or did the Ultras not communicate internally? Whatever it is added to not announcing the minutes clapping for Gordon Banks and the team's performance, it's all made for a pretty s**t day

That is a very good point and one that has been missed. The whole debacle is obviously down to Kassam and his lickspittles in the first place, but why the club couldn't have got in touch - who knows? At the moment, it seems from the outside that the club couldn't organise a P**s up in a brewery. Or a football match in a football stadium.

Any idea why they didn’t announce the Gordon Banks minutes clapping, several people near me were asking what’s it for

So I put a post on about supporting the club as the real source of frustration should be Kassam - a couple of posts later it's back to supposedly amusing one liners and whinging about not letting the fans know about opening time and minutes hand clap (which was in the programme).

People have moaned about Merry, Lennigan, Eales and now Tiger. The point you're missing they have all had one hand tied behind their back (granted the first two managed to tie it themselves); we have the same routine - new team comes in - we'll get a relationship with Kassam, he's a reasonable man, we're giving him some leeway, no we're not talking to him, the relationship has broken down, we're in dispute, they leave - new team comes in. Everytime we go back to square one (except it's a clock starting at 12 moving around and coming back to 12 again).

Sorry but I really am fed up with all this bickering and not realising that the staff you are complaining, moaning about are workers the same as most of us who are probably quite down with the constant negative restrictions being placed on them - how would you feel in their situation. So let's get the club and supporters united against the common issue - Kassam.

I think you are preaching to the converted to some degree, Shabby Yellow. We ALL know that Kassam and StadCo are a huge obstacle that no owner has managed to overcome. A blight on the club. He has really gone past "it's just business" into vindictiveness, despite claiming to be the "guardian of the club". I don't think ANYONE is surprised that ST is finding him as difficult to deal with reasonably as every other person who has ever had to deal with him over the club's tenancy.

But. The club has to look after their support, no matter what the problems with the landlord. If (hopefully 'when') we move and consign Kassam to a foul-smelling (or perhaps FOUL-smelling) memory, the supporters will still be here, paying the money that helps to keep the club afloat. How many of us there are depends on how the club deals with us on a day to day basis right now. Saying that because Kassam is being a s**t means the club can't announce who the minute's applause is for or keep supporters updated about various things is a bit odd. We can't say that EVERYTHING is down to Old Greedy Bastard - that simply isn't true.

The club and the supporters are (IMO) in one mind about Kassam. The problem, as ever, is what anyone can do about it. We a playing a game of poker where he has all the aces, kings and queens and we have Mrs. Bun the Baker's wife.

I agree with you. I'm just really frustrated that this guy has/is managing to turn good people into punch bags. I realise that many people both far more intelligence and financially able than I have tried to resolve it without success.

I watched the film 'Big Short' recently, about how the corrupt financial market was finally uncovered and it just got me thinking that if it's not right you can't just accept it but find a way to bring it to a head (maybe a bad example) but it got me thinking, is there an option out that that we are blind to because it's so obvious.

Just want the club owners and the club supporters to have control over our destiny and not a slum landlord known as the 'merchant of misery' (taken from the Evening Standard Feb, 2006). What is the answer to rid ourselves of him - don't know; buy the ground, we'll still have issues due to the area he'll keep. Buy the whole area, wouldn't like to think what he'd want for that. Move to another ground, got to find a viable alternative and still need to pay for the current stadium and rent for new. Any alternative that leaves us with any connection to him he will find an angle to make it a miserable experience.

I just want to help Mrs Bun!
