I have been told today tiger will be gone by the end of the week. A reputable source.

Please don’t shoot the messenger true or not.

D'ya think that the club are giving "reputable source" & "rarely wrong" contacts a series of wild scenarios to see which snippets find their way onto social media so they know who can be trusted with genuine confidential information.....?....

Just being an observer on this forum but what makes you so sure it’s rubbish, just asking the question???
Because a chairman of a football club rarely ups and leaves without someone replacing them. The only person likely to do that within the current regime is Erick who is tied up until April. If it was someone from outside the current regime then why now? Any valuation placed on the club would depend significantly on what league we are in. So it's unlikely anyone would commit to a deal with the uncertainty of relegation still there. Even if Tiger didn't want to be involved, he just stays at home and nothing really changes day to day anyway.

tiger will not be leaving us at the moment as others have said uncle erick is busy until April and you would have to be a fool for an outsider to buy us how things stand

I think people need to take a step back and see the current situation for what it is. We’re a club that’s dangerously close to the fourth tier of English football, with a relatively small but loyal fan base and play in a half finished dilapidated stadium that doesn’t belong to us. In Eales we had a good owner with bright and sensible plans that realised he couldn’t make the project work how he initially intended and so looked to get shot of us as quickly as he could. The only person interested in taking us on was Tiger who, so far at least, looks a bit of a chancer with limited funds. A million miles from being ideal but he was all we/Eales could attract. The problem behind this bleak scenario is FK and he isn’t going anywhere. Who is there out there who would be interested in taking us on that a) Would be any better? And b) Didn’t show interest when Eales was looking for a buyer? Yes there was apparently interest but I think it all fell away when they looked more closely at the stadium situation. It is what it is as they say and I think as fans we’ve got to all wake up and smell the coffee.

Apologies for the doom and gloom post, I suppose I’d better don the tin hat in readiness - but I think people are HOPING for brighter times ahead when there isn’t actually any evidence that they will materialise. Yes I think we’ll survive as a club but, no, I don’t think there’s going to be any spectacular promotions. Let’s just hope we avoid relegation this season and survive as a league 1 club for as long as possible.

Ps. I’ve had a s**t day...

Hmm. Think we all know that's not correct.

There will always but people out there to take us on, for all the doom and gloom we have great potential 20+K crowds in the right environment.
Just look at Brighton, 2009/2010 last year at the Withdean average 7,351.

They moved to the now Falmer Stadium (AMEX) in 2011/2012 the same year they went up Champs of L1 and averaged 20K crowds (That could be us)
Now in the Prem Avg around 28+K

You just need someone with a bit of cash and the vision, we will not be going anywhere until we have some nice facilities to entice people it's the modern day world of football people want to be looked after as well as entertained..

But as always Multi Millionaires with the passion are few and far between, but my point is never underestimate what we could be and I pray one day someone out there with some wonga will see that..

Obviously this is refering to the Satori/SD/Charlie deal. But what we have to remember is that Charlie admitted that they were looking to get a ood deal and valued the club far lower that DE did. Also that SD had stated that the cost of buying the Kassam and then making it fit for purchase was beyond any reasonable investment, and that the only sustainable option was to move away. However, this also involved doing a deal with FK to benefit from the Kassam being turned into housing, something that was far from certain, and developing Water Eaton, which transpires was also highly unlikely.

So although SD has been very supportive of our club for many years, and it would be amazing to have a real fan running our club, there were no certainties that we would have been anywhere further forward than we are now. In fact, it is possible that we would not have had the same level of investment in the academy and under 23's that we've seen, or had the level of player recruitment (even if this hasn't been spent well by KR).

So whilst you are right to say there was other interest, without this matching DE's valuation, this was maybe unrealistic. Tiger, for all his faults, and there are plenty, has stumped up the cash to buy the club, to invest in the club, and EVENTUALLY, cover the expenses of the club.

I hope one day someone out there will realise the potential at oufc too....and that they're honest n open with the fan base!....though to realise the full potential avail here, OUFC first have to achieve a stable championship status. Which will cost a bit for the right players to sustain that

Did Tiger stump up the cash to buy the club? I thought he bought it on tick, hence future transfer fees going to Eales.

There was money upfront, and money from pre-existing transfer deals. In addition, there was money spent on Brannaghan, Dickie, Whyte, Hanson, Sykes, money for the under 23's, academy, training facilities, the general running costs and, occasionally, the tax man! This has been far from cheap and equates to a good few million. It may not be perfect but does dispel the idea that he is entirely potless.

Which all leads back to the point I was trying to make. Because of the impossible situation with FK, we possibly had the ideal new owner have a look and offer what he thought was a fair price, considering the situation, which wasn’t enough for DE. Because he was desperate to offload he settled for this ‘HP’ type deal with Tiger. I’m not suggesting Tiger is potless but I don’t think he has the finances or where-with-all to take us forward. I will accept that he’s supporting good work with the academy but I think we all have to manage our expectations. A small club trading water until - hopefully - the academy really starts to bear fruit.

I honestly think that if Thohir was In the backgrounds and looking to take over the reigns in April, we would already be seeing evidence of it with a couple of decent acquisitions in the January transfer window. I know people disagree with that but why would Thohir risk taking over a club in April that’s dropping in to league 2 when he had the power to do something about it?

Be honest I think it is on paper only at the moment due to other things going on in his life which he's concentrating on.
I say at the moment because I'm praying he takes a more avid interest in OUFC when he has more time.

I am a dreamer and this is the closet we have got to a billionaire!

We are in the lap of the gods! but he's done stateside, Italy and I'm hoping as his mantra says likes a challenge.

I hope we are that challenge..

I would love to think that was the case, honestly get tired of people sharing confidential news on here. Yes of course i'm as interested as the next fan in what the news is but would rather things stay in house until the correct time for release.
