Away Match Day Thread +++ 02/02/2019 Burton Albion v OUFC match day thread +++

Sorry, pitiful excuse that coco would come out with. Is the attitude other sides would take?
Don't forget the nugget he came out with about the pitch being narrow.
Simply Burton knew, as other sides have done, we have one 2d style of football that kr has us playing. Even with 10 men they stifled us superbly.
Play crab football along the back, then look for Graham or Whyte down the flanks. kr has no plan B
Things will follow the same pattern, with the odd win thrown in until we are relegated, or until someone else is brought in with fresh ideas, doing away with the stale way kr has us playing. His interviews are the same thing repeated week after week.
We had xxxx possession, we had xxxx chances, we had xxxx corners, it all counts for nothing unless you score.
Yep we had corners, but how many actually got past the first man.
Yep we had the possession, passing the ball fruitlessly between the back 4.
Jonte talked a good game, and seems hungry to play. Why not put him on the bench next week?
Sinclair had a good first half, but was neutralised when Mackie came on, and the team reverted to type.
The shots we did have on target would have got points at Twickenham, but ffs hit the target.
Sunderland next week, god help us, unless the team that played against Pompey turn up.
Boo hoo

So, I reckon we’ve got no chance against Sunderland. And we’ll get thrashed away to Luton. But the rest are winnable! COYY!!

To be honest Bazzer you post some sensible stuff, but your biggest ball ache are strikers we've signed two and one looked pretty decent today.
He did sound good and I am looking forward to see if he can put one past Sunderland next saturday

Personally I don’t think we did enough today. Our passing was too slow/laboured and our chances were half chances.

Our fullbacks never overlapped our wingers meaning we could have got in behind them etc. Set piece deliveries were poor, not getting pass the first man etc.

Burton were there for the taking, but we just didn’t do enough, shame really.

I think it might have been a better game if it stayed 11 v 11 as that would have encouraged them to attack more, but who knows.

I would have left Mousinho on for start of 2nd half, but can sort of understand why Robinson made the change. Just felt the change didn’t achieve anything.

Also felt Dickie should have gone forward with the ball when bringing it out of defence rather than passing it wide without enticing any of their players, meaning they kept players behind the ball, thus not allowing spaces in behind them for us to capitalise on.

Thought Sinclair looked lively, especially the first 20mins, and I think he’ll get goals.

Liked the sound of Jonte on the radio afterwards. Seems very focused/confident. Just hope he can transfer this onto the pitch.

Burton lucky not to be down to 9 in my opinion after that tackle on Eastwood other then that the ref had a pretty good game.

Eastwood very lucky not to be severely punished for going for that awful backpass with his hands! Burton striker had EVERY right to go for ball.

Aside from that, Jordan Graham probably our best.

Weirdly, I think without the sending off we would have won the game comfortably. A frustrating day but another point closer to safety.

It’s gone now, on to the next one.

He had every right but not with two feet off the ground and studs up!
