SSN reporting Leeds are considering an offer for him. Assume we must have a sell on clause.

Fair play to the lad. Bit of a knob with the way he left the club and shame he didn't stay an extra season but hope he carries on progressing

Double bonus if COD signs for Leeds and Roofe signs for the Geordies. :0

It's hope so! What's his value £1.5mil?

That’s what we sold him for! I’d hope he’d be moving on for more.

However, he’s in the last year of his contract which may impact the fee. Bit annoying that, really.

Below is what I posted in the "Former Players" thread, regarding COD.

"Interesting.

Interesting because we have a 30% sell on clause. Interesting because it was widely known that his dad, who was (maybe still is?) his agent was the one angling for a transfer, and might fancy another one and the riches it brings. Interesting as Bristol City have a further one year option on the three year deal he signed, so could trigger it and demand a fee. Interesting as it appears the talks regarding a new contract for COD are becoming very drawn out and protracted (sound familiar?).

But mostly interesting because 30% of the sell on profit could be between £2million and £2.5million to OUFC."

Bristol City are valuing COD at £8m to £10m. We don't, though, have a sell on with Kemar Roofe.

I’m assuming we have some sort of promotion bonus for Roofe at least, even if it’s fairly modest?

Considering what a player like Alfie Mawson, a centre half at our level, was sold for, the fee for Roofe if there’s not even a sell on is looking a bit criminal.

Yes, Ryan, we've got a decent bonus on Kemar if Dirty Leeds get promoted.

Why would Rolfe leave Leeds for Newcastle? Leeds are looking good for promotion. Unless he is after an extended Leeds contract.

No sell on fee for Roofe? No way!? That has to be one of the worst business decisions we've made and my word have we made a lot of those...

Eales sometimes took the extra money up front in return of a no future fee upon a sale. I know he did this on at least once occasion whilst I charge. Bonkers but that’s Eales.
