HMRC?

Do we not have new Financial Director at the club? Tim Davies? Where is he in all this mess? Most FD's I have worked with are the ones with access to the bank accounts, not the chairman or the BoD's.

My one crumb of comfort throughout these suspect financial tribulations has been that KR came from a club that was under horrendous ownership: the fact that he'd been under that kind of regime, seen the damage it could do and still came here under Tiger, made me think there must be something we're all missing, and behind the scenes everything must be good. I'm by and large a pretty (probably naively) optimistic guy with football stuff, because of my recognition that I have pretty much no idea whatsoever what goes on behind the scenes at a football club and generally trust that the guys in charge know what they're doing better than I do.

But even with that, ANOTHER winding up order just seems like too much to be dismissed without real concern. Is moving money from Thailand really that difficult? If it were, how would he pass the fit and proper person test? Surely that test takes into account whether an individual has the available capital to fund running a football club? That, coupled with the Whyte news (which I appreciate is hardly the end of the world, but is nonetheless another embarrassing and unwanted story associated with our club) just 24 hours later, has made me properly dejected about the state of the club for the first time this year.

I’m not even sure it’s necessarily malicious intent to be honest. I think it’s more likely they’re like the song goes.... duh duh duh duh fking useless. That and tiger has always been skint and his mates aren’t looking at getting involved in the whip.

Like your view 're KR leaving Charlton & thier issues then to come here . Hope youre right and KR, despite touchline /post match rants n antics (passion?) , wasn't naive enough to jump out of a frying pan into a fire. A bit of positivity really does go a long way @ttg17 ....can even be infectious

If our owner or a representative of his actually communicated openly, honestly and regularly instead of the mushroom treatment I've a feeling things wouldn't seem as bad as they appear to be of late

Well perhaps the hold-up is whoever is at the UK bank doing AML checks and checking source of funds for money coming in from abroad. It’s one thing where you can show where your wealth comes from such as sale of business , income , inherited. But what if you just have a relatively small business only generating cash of a million or two per year ?

Just to repeat, of course Tiger et al, have money at their disposal. It's just not in our account.

I have no trouble believing this, the sums involved aren't even small change to Thohir and not much to the other guys.

I wonder if they are as transparent with the authorities about what they want to bring in money for as they are with us?

Why can people from countries like Russia and UAE bring in shedloads and Thai, Viet and Indonesians are barred. The finances in our lad's countries are as transparent and our countries only murder their own citizens.

We should protest against this racist exceptionalism in Whitehall on Saturday. The Pompey fans'll join us as they aren't going to get tickets!

I think everyone has to stop thinking that Erik Thohir is ever going to be a significant person for OUFC. We’re becoming a mess on and off the field, if he really had any interest in us he’d be busting a gut to get involved but all we get is ‘he’ll get involved once his other obligations are completed..”

Selling Milan shares, helping with Indonesian politics etc. What’s going to be the next excuse? ‘Erik Thohir can’t wait to get involved and will be here as soon as his Waitrose delivery has arrived and he’s completed the entire Luther boxset’

If you ever speak to Robinson away from football and ask about Tiger he’ll speak very highly of him and seems very happy working under him.

He also said to me when asked about the HMRC issues first time around that it was a case of moving money around and that it takes a long time for this to be cleared. Should it take this long? Who knows but that’s from Robinson’s mouth so take it as you will.

Think the tone of the email from OXVOX is they are well peed off with the owners. I for one find it not good PR for the club to be run this way and if I were the owner and left this to someone else to sort out, I would fire them. This is turning out to be one naff season.

As soon as he's fixed the election he'll be flying in with his shreds outside his Cardin suit trousers.

I see the call for calm has, well, ..........................

1) Of course, Tiger has money at his disposal. By the way, I'm not defending him in any way, shape or form. He's already told OXVOX in the notes released last week, that he is finding it difficult to move money from Thailand to the UK.

2) Of course, we will sign players.

3) Tiger can be absent from the UK as much as he likes, if he has people in place to do a 'average' job. He hasn't got that. I am sure the MD is a thoroughly nice bloke and excellent Headteacher, a football MD, he doesn't appear to be. I again, point to the misguided comments he made about rent, an inability to communicate (f**k me I'd take Kelvin Thomas back right now.......) and how Karl has actually had little support to protect himself from making a fool of himself on radio interviews.........

4) Maybe irrelevant in the current drama, but OxVox notes have confirmed previously that Shaun Harvey pointed this lot to Oxford United.

If I were in charge I'd be doing a couple of things. 1) Being honest for a change and stop the 'no comment bull' which the club peddle out, 2) sort out the middle management at this football club as a priority as they're letting Tiger down (he's obvs doing that himself anyway) and 3) should we lose on Saturday - relieve Robinson of his duties and get Michael Appleton in.

Those quick 3 points, might save Tiger.

As an ex-director said to me on Twitter last night, not that I disagreed with him, the EFL did a check on these lot, the money is there, somewhere.

And last point on OXVOX. Just remember Paul Peros has been chucked right into this and he and his eight colleagues, look to me to be doing a bloody good job of asking questions.

Simon, it’s fairly obvious that Niall’s hands are tied (not saying he’s the right appointment though as I cannot say either way), but how you believe Tiger at this present stage is, well unbelievable.

He’s openly lied to OxVox, fans etc and no doubt the club management.

I don’t see other overseas owners having difficulties transferring funds from one country to another.

Like I said earlier, the buck stops with Tiger.

If Niall continues to stay in the role, but isn’t given control or true answers by Tiger then he’s as bad as Tiger. Then I agree with you that he is poor at his job too.

The best thing Niall can do is stand down if he doesn’t feel fully supported by Tiger, but if he continues then he’s obviously being supported by Tiger so during Tiger’s absence then the buck stops with him, so unless we hear otherwise then at this point the buck stops with Tiger.

I wish I had your belief Simon, but all the signals/actions etc would suggest that what you’ve said doesn’t ring quite ring true.

That's very interesting and well expressed. My suspicions are that it's the people in Oxford who aren't doing their job, or that there is an important post not filled here. The owner of a club is often foreign and / or absentee, and can frequently be eccentric or semi-detached - the club should be able to run without their day-to-day involvement.

Without money!!

just had txt from Pompey supporting brother asking what's going on at Oxford. He's heard Pompey fans not received tickets yet as company that deals with tickets not been paid
But that's not how the ticketing companies operate - the ticketing company will sell the tickets to Pompey fans at face value, deduct their fees from the money taken in and send the net balance to OUFC.
Of all the crap going on at OUFC at the moment, I'm not sure the ticketing problems can be laid at the clubs door.
