Fan's View - Fleetwood away

I think the point at the end about some of the negativity towards Robinson is bang on. To some everything he says or does is turned into a negative and I just find it tiresome. Their all going to be disappointed because I don’t think he is going anywhere. Just support the f*****g team.

Yes, it does my head in. And the ****ing language. At times critisism is fair, but so too is praise and these blinkered people refuse to give any whatsoever to him. Be fair and reasonable ffs.

Agree totally. None of the vitriol is helpful or pleasant at times

There are some people who just have no control. Away at Peterborough, I was sat near a bloke who spent the whole match abusing our players in dockers language. They were all useless f******** c****, who ought to be shot, sacked and get proper jobs apparently. He kept it up for the entire 90 minutes - nothing they did was any good (if it worked out OK it was lucky), they weren't fit to wear the shirt, they were an absolute f********* disgrace, sacked in the morning, Northern gits (that wasn't his exact word!), Southern pansies (nor was that) etc.

At the end he stood up and applauded the players off.

On the point of the ball boys, the one in front of the seats was so poor on two occasions, the ball rolling under his legs, he was moved to the corner behind the goal.
Big shout out to the fans there, along journey.

Josh Ruffels has had the same negativity directed at him as Sam Long, don't know what it is with some of our fans. One things sure whatever we think of what's going on or not going on we need to get right behind the lads

Thanks, Paul, another well balanced report. It's a shame that the other results largely went against us. There's often at least one hopeless case at the foot of the league, but this is going to be a very close relegation fight.

You can only assume these people are.let out from somewhere for the day. Made me laugh though good post

Actually, I just don't like Robinson. I don't believe he is the right man for the job and will be happy when he's gone. But, if he succeeds in turning things around and brings in players who might help, maybe I'll put up with him for now. I will have to stop listening to him though.

At the moment I'm neutral but more likely to be pro the more the horrible bile is spewed out.
"Happy when he's gone" but someone else would end up doing the job. Who? That's always the key question. Wou;ld that be better or worse for us at this stage of the season?
And he has brought in Jordan Graham presumably and he might help.

And there's the rub Paul! Who indeed?

I have to say that I am never convinced by the 'we can't sack him because we can't think of a replacement' argument. In the same way that a decent manager should have a constantly updated list of players he is keeping an eye on (from the young or obscure to the well known and experienced), a decent, informed chairman or his staff should be aware of experienced managers who are available and ones in the lower leagues making their mark. After all, Robinson might be poached by a club higher up the food chain ...

Now that we have the transfer window system managers tend not to be sacked around now - it would be either earlier or later.

Ive posted before on the aggressive negative people. These are disappointed people who are traumatised by continual failure and loss in their lives. Football triggers them and they lack the mental strength to cope with it. Maybe they should stick to Strictly or Call the Midwife!

As far as I am concerned the jury is still out on Robinson. We are still in the relegation zone and we have a lot of difficult games to come. Yes he might get us to safety- but who put us in the shyte in the first place. I am still waiting to see Do we really NEED three good wingers when we are so short of firepower up front? There are hints that his hands may be tied financially and he has been restricted by this. But so have a lot of other managers and they have done a lot better.
I will wait and see what happens. But so far I am not overly impressed and Robinson is going to have to do a lot better to win me round.

Three good wingers - Isn't that four at the moment? Three loan players, Jordan Graham, Marcus Browne, and Ricky Holmes. And one that is actually a fully paid up OUFC player, Gavin Whyte. Holmes might be crocked but he's still with us. We're paying all of them at least a percentage of their total wage, as we are Luke Garbutt.

If we don't come up with better than Sam Smith on the firepower front we could be screwed.

Only reason the jury might be out on KR is if he hasn't been backed with funds, which afaik is a matter for guesswork. He's completely failed to recruit a balanced squad over the summer, took an age to find a team that hides the biggest faults (exc striker, obvs) and I'm not impressed by his tactics.

If the management weren't entirely inept they'd have a succession plan in place, as m'learned friend says above, and they would have replaced him in time for a new manager to prepare (aided by the mighty scouting organisation) for January.

Double fails all round.

Graham who’s only just sign, yes definitely & they are our only goalscorers + Henry without them where would our goals come from as we couldn’t rely on any of our centre forwards so far this season

There is every chance we can stay up with some of the talent at our disposal. But it’s going to be close . Robinson’s future will be determined by how he deals with the transfer window.

Paul- we all know that some of our fans are knobheads and always will be. There is nothing we can do about it.

Pleased with a point at one of our (many ?) bogey teams.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we turned over Pompey. But then , I am an optimist.
