Ricky Holmes

I think one will be alright. James Henry deserves a lot of credit for getting twelve goals this season. Gavin Should start scoring before too long. I’ve looked at Portsmouth’s away record W9 D3 L1...frightening. Not a great footballing side, just a team of bullies much like Millwall were

Pompey, as far back as I can remember, have pretty much always had a thuggish element to the way they set up & play

Well if we get just one striker then they need to be fit, with a good injury record! We would definitely need an option if we were chasing a game or the new striker got clattered. I guess that could be Mackie, but we would also need to get one of the U23 strikers involved in case they were needed.

I do worry a little about the 'striker coming in at the end of January' thing. That's another three league games (and one dodgy cup game) - and then we'd have to be bloody sure they were actually coming, with the end of January being prime gazumping and sales chain failure season.

Millwall were certainly not bullies. Take Harry Cripps, for instance, absolute Gentleman!!!!!

As for Pompey being just a team of bullies etc?

Don't worry folks, the Ref and officials are there to protect our guys.......

KR has said on RO that Holmes has gone back. Will be monitored over the next couple of weeks.

What are the rules around what is considered a "good injury record", an acceptable injury record, or the number of previous sniffles, cut and bruises that mean a risk cannot be taken on an otherwise suitable transfer target? Also, if a player with a previously unblemished record signs for United, how many injuries after they sign means that their "good injury record" is lost?

Trying to get a sense of "hysteria" vs "trust the medical department on medical matters". Appreciate we've been horribly unlucky with e.g. Carruthers and Holmes.

Let’s hope so. A great player when fit.
sure is .... been plagued with incarnations of the same/similar long term injury & its effects for some time...
when fit Holmes is a quality player
