Nelson

In defence of Nels, he’s been trotted out into Yellow Player today and gives a much more measured and apologetic interview than the Radio Oxford farce yesterday. Williams also takes some of the blame for sending him out to be interviewed post-match

(Oh, and as much I’d love him to stay I suspect he’ll be departing this month and hold no ill-will against him for it. Fantastic CB to watch on his day. I’ve enjoyed his time at our club and sad that, like Appleton, the size of his ambition and ability substantially out-strips our own)

To be honest, I do feel a lot happier having watched that interview than I did listening to his post-match yesterday. The question absolutely had to be asked by RO and I was thoroughly p*ssed off with his response but I was listening as a passionate fan after a loss, just like Nelson is a passionate player having just been beaten at his old stomping ground who were bottom of the league!

Someone at the club reads the forum Curtis is no longer flagged as captain, but then one is now, what a bloody shambles we are on and off the pitch.

I should hope they do read the forum, would be worrying if they didn't!

If the worst happens and he does go this month (and even if he doesn't, actually), would it be worth trying to get Jake Wright back until the end of the season? Naturally left sided, a brilliant leader, and someone the fans would love to see back. I think it's worth a shot.

Swap Holmes for Wright now I’d say

Good interview on YP. Admire the way Williams says he cocked up yesterday. Nelson is a decent bloke from all accounts.

The environment in which he was interviewed (old club , just slaughtered) yesterday was er ... not very conducive to bigging up OUFC was it? .

Unfortunately I can't see him staying and so … enter new centre back. Who's it going to be ?

Tommy Smith? Tony Adams? ; {

£750k would be a very good amount.
He would be worth more than that if his contract remaining wasn't so short

Think Nelson was set up there by OUFC. The transfer question was always going to be asked.

Was a terrible and non productive interview. Mous / Ruffs etc should have been sent out by KR.

Why, it’s about time Nelson came clean, he can f**k off now as far as I’m concerned, arrogant git! - BTW radio Oxford are well within their rights to ask the question, too much player power these days
