There’s money to spend

Exactly, which is why saying theres no money with absolutely no evidence shouldn't be stated as fact as well.lets see what happens.
But this is part of the worry isn't it, "let's see what happens"? We've done a lot of that since Tiger's ownership. I think we're drifting along, from the top (Tiger) down, and things are not looking good on or off the pitch. Tiger and KR have January to really show they can put this right.

So far, the evidence has been pretty underwhelming, I'd say.

priority is Striker obviously, i'm guessing it'll be either Kieran Agard or George Williams at FGR both KR has worked with. Need to look at a Left sided centre back. Jake Wright on loan maybe?

Think Aneke would be a better option even tho he’s not a number 9 centre forward, there fans rate him very highly but desperate to keep him as his physical presence with a goal threat is irreplaceable & couldn’t see how they could directly replace him, something we desperately need on the evidence over the past 2 home games

Aneke is the one to get. 25, coming in to his prime, out of contract in the summer, creates and scores...based on this seasons numbers he is underperforming but still has 9 goals

Certainly don't allow him to spend money on players he's worked with before but who are now a bit old / injured / knackered. We need to be signing players who can drop straight into the first team squad, be available for selection immediately and who can actually play in the majority of games. The primary aim has to be to stay up, with the secondary aim being to recruit players who will be with us next season as well - we need some season-to-season continuity.

I'll be in the Moon later. Pint of artisan ale?

Jake Wright is definitely worth a shout as he is solid dependable and a player who never let us down before - in fact, if anything, we let him down - having said that, returning players rarely work a second time, he is 32 and he can't have had much game time recently

Sure - a pint of Badger's Old Cynical please.
You know the one, it's pleasant enough to start with but leaves a bitter after taste.

Yes that’s a great idea, after all we don’t have enough players with injury issues at the club. Forward not backwards is the answer.

If the Sunday Mirror is to believed Newcastle are eying up a move for Kemar Roofe who was a bargain at £3m..not sure what the sell on clause is but that would produce some serious funds available.
Jayden Stockley maybe

It is one thing saying Newcastle "eyeing up" a move, but I very much doubt Leeds will sell and why would Roofe want to move to Newcastle?

I mentioned this briefly the other day. Inevitable that bids will come in for him. He’s been sensational for Leeds this season.

I don’t work for the Mirror by the way ?

Leeds are on course for promotion themselves

It’s the difference between here and now though. And Roofe isn’t a kid anymore.

However, his loyalty to our club until the time was right might suggest that he would stay at Leeds. It’s probably the better option as if Leeds aren’t promoted he’d surely get big interest again in the summer anyway.

I’d rather that was the case, because then we get the sell on as well as the promotion fee.

I agree with us, I think Roofe would stick by Leeds until the end of the season and see how they end. If they don't capitulate like usual and go up then I can see him staying at Leeds. If they stay down the interest and temptation to play in the top League will be too much.
