Another 1st season at EFL level referee

Picky , seemed a bit of a homer, no real clangers, though a tad inconsistant and one or two unfathomable decisions too

So a 6 from me

I thought he was on the poor side of average. I try not to give the ref a low score if we lose and a decent one if we win just because!

There were some very odd decisions in the first half and he didn't look to be up with play quite a few times - in what was not a difficult match to ref.

The one where he gave a foul against McGuane in the Wigan penalty area for trying to shield the ball was ridiculous. If you watch it back the Wigan player hears the whistle and throws his hands up ready to protest cos he assumes the ref has blown for a penalty.

A poor 4 from me. As highlighted above some of the calls were at best ridiculous at worst inept.

A 1 From me just for penalty/dive situation,at no point was Mcguane asking for a penalty, the ref shouldve just waved play on.
