Well that's that!

Two of those defeats were in effective dead rubbers. The other was in extra time. Still impressive to get to a semi final and for it to go to extra time, remember this side wasn't expected to get anywhere. England should really be very exciting to watch in the next couple of tournaments, on paper of course.

Much rather have this group of (relatively) down to earth players than the WAG towing lot in 2006.
I wish I could agree. I want to agree. I can see U17/U20 won their WC's. I want to back Southgate. I want to back the FA, and I want to congratulate them on the above achievements. I want to back the team. But. Its England. England do glorious failure better than any nation, I know. And. I wasnt let down again. ps. I am a Ireland 1st. England 2nd.

Perhaps we need more players moving abroad to further their careers?
Who knows, Perhaps we are a little narrow in our football education?
After all, not one of the current squad plays overseas. Is this a good thing or bad, or does have no bearing on the situation? Whatever it is, we still do not seem to be getting enough quality through the system.
This has to be addressed.
