League One Swindon on the brink

Desperately hoping that Lee Power names himself as manager for the lols.

C’mon, Lee, do it and just sit back and watch just how much spittle their freaks can eject.

New owners by the looks of it.

Edit - sounds like the new name is their former head of finance.

It is one out of 3 "persons with significant control" leaving. Deborah Carney ceasing to be a PWSC still leaves Lee Power and Steven Anderson. She's linked to Power, has been a director of one of his other companies too.

It doesn’t sound like he’s quite gone yet.

We all know what a dispiriting job the scum manager must be but Sheridan sounds like a defeated man. The rot was there under Wellens and has just spread. Swindon can’t even muster efforts against fellow relegation fodder like Rochdale and Wimbledon. 0 points from those two and surely they’re doomed.

Fabulous. Let’s enjoy this as it won’t last forever.

Who's our candidate for our new big rival whilst those Swindon slugs rot in non-league for eternity

Reading - In common with Swindon is also a dump. They always seem to have a bit of money in recent years and yet somehow come across as very tinpot, like a "bigger" version of Wycombe maybe. Hard to feel the same hatred towards such a plastic and pointless club but they are local, and they seem to hate us.

Luton - Proper club at least, their fans are a bit livelier than Swindons too. Also from one of the worst dives in the country. Luton seem like a similar club to us in many ways, spent some time in the conference, bounced back, similar size club. I dont have any real hate for them though.

Bristol Rovers/Bristol City - Bristolians seem to love a riot. Maybe they could try and have a scrap with us instead of riot police instead?

Wycombe - Feels a bit like picking on the weakest kid at school. Doesn't feel right. They'll eventually do a Yeovil and find their level.

Pompey - Seeing as they're in Southampton's shadow they probably have a similar mentality to Swindon fans. Could make a decent scum replacement service.

Wycombe. Hate them.

He announced his resignation by saying that he's "decided to give it a miss". Give what a miss exactly? Relegation?
He was clearly working with a poor bunch of players, but by most accounts his brand of football was poor too. I've always regarded both ourselves and Swindon as trying to play decent football, whilst being a little lightweight. This season they've been lightweight but without the decent football. I think, with or without a points deduction, that they'll really struggle next season as Power is not going to be interested in anything other than trying to prove he owns the club so he can sell it.

We have only one rival, and they’re sitting at the bottom of league one.
The rest don’t even come close.

Had a browse through there forum to try and understand what is going on (still not really any clearer, with mainstream media virtually ignoring lower league football nowadays a club could go bust and that would be the first most people would know about it as well) I did enjoy a few posts about how they are a sleeping giant, more like a midget in a coma.

the only real shame in all this is that they beat us at ours.
as others have said, i wouldn’t want to see them go under. people need their football clubs, especially in times like these

Come on Lee Power, offer him a new 3 year contract.
