First (HUFC) player to become a full professional, one time top scorer, club skipper ( replaced as captain by Big Ron) and Manor fave in the 50s & early 60s, Geoff Denial has passed away ...OWS

Before my time, but an impressive club record and important part of Oxford United’s proud history.

RIP Geoff.

A little bit before my time but my dad used to talk about him and say what a great player he was.
Rest in peace Geoff

Just before my time by a season or so.
But my Dad often talked about him glowingly! There were so many good players in that period. Ron and Graham Atkinson, Maurice Kyle, Cyril Beavon, Johnny Love, Peter Knight, Tony Jones, Pat Quartermain, Bud Houghton plus others I'm sure I've missed out.
RIP.

Geoff Denial was one of my mother’s Favourite players ( think she had a bit of a crush on him ?)
A good player and a pleasure to watch.
RIP
