Local Press in Sunderland are reporting that the Play-Off Final may be moved from Wembley or rescheduled because they are trying to host the CL Final...

I'm not sure why it would need to be. If they were already happy to have playoff finals on consecutive days, why would adding another fixture in at the start if that run make any difference?

St James' Park would be nice for them to lose the final against us...

Its the CL don`t you know?

They`ll move heaven & earth for that..

Cant have lower league oiks scuffing up the national stadium playing surface for the wannabe esl show ponys.....cant see what the all fuss is about anyway....if brexit really meant brexit , then why are EPL clubs actually playing in a European competition? ....brexit means brexit ...but EPL clubs are exempt ? ;)......as its two English clubs in European champions league final perhaps a neutral country should host the match , like Wales or Scotland?

isn't it funny and coincidence that the moment 2 clubs from England reach the final that the intended country to stage it is placed on the red list and uk suddenly offer to play at wembley. citing not fair on the fans as part of the reason.

A few days later reports that The Play offs may be moved from Wembley, well it's not the premier league or bigger clubs so those peasants can play elsewhere.

Just make the Play Off final 2 Legs and tell the Fa and all other top brass to do one

You strike a very valid point there. With the likelihood of a reduced number of fans being allowed to attend, the numbers of fans should become irrelevant in the argument over fairness. All the clubs involved in the play off final would/could bring the numbers to fulfil the maximum allowed to attend and so, it can only come down to which final will generate the larger income.
Any talk about 'fairness' towards fans would, in my opinion, be entirely spurious. Unless one talks about the unfairness towards the clubs and supporters from outside the Premiership/European Championship.
As you succinctly put it, we peasants can play elsewhere.

They key bit is it's not fair on the fans of the clubs that make the most money. We're nothing compared to the two Franchise FC clubs in the eyes of the FA. I actually don't care for Wembley particularly as a stadium, it's a fun reward but with only 5k fans allowed I think a smaller ground would have a better atmosphere, but it's the principle of the FA claiming not fair on the fans then going nah screw you EFL clubs your fans don't matter as much.

So the FA might screw over proper football clubs for 2 "elite" clubs, not a month ago they were saying the clubs would have sanctions etc....

Yep it stinks!

They bow down to them always. Your moving three finals to accommodate one. UEFA and the FA have no balls.

Some of these lower league players, may never get a chance to play at Wembley, especially clubs Like Morecambe for example.

Simply move the CL final to the Millennium Stadium.

Wouldn’t mind it being played at Spurs new ground or West Ham, with the reduced crowd it won’t affect attendance and it would be nice to go to a new ground.
