General "Injury prone", "sicknote", "risky signing"

A big one to add to this list is Samir Carruthers.
He was meant to be KR's marquee signing in his first season as manager. He had been part of KR's successful period at MK Dons. Again, a capable player but one with a very bad injury record.
He managed a mere 10 appearances for us and is currently on Cambridge Utd's books but injured.
Carruthers is a free agent after Cambridge let him go in the summer. Believe he was on trial with Eastleigh a while back and got injured after about 15 minutes. Textbook.

Employing the tactic of signing a technically gifted player, who you suspect may have fitness issues should have been on a non-starter for teams in League One and Two this season with the new squad size cap being introduced

You can’t carry injury prone players unless you’re content with filling quite a number of your positions with U21s

Problem for us is that Robinson has form for doing it and can’t seem to help himself
