Once more into the breach. This time against Wigan who appear to be doing better since their manager got on his bus. So a potential banana skin here. We must take them seriously, do that and we shoud win comfortably.

Looking at the Wigan squad for their game at Northampton on Tuesday , on loan Rotherham striker Jamie Proctor had a positive Covid-19 test and is self isolating, Tom Pearce is out long term with an ankle injury and star striker Kyle Joseph has a back injury. Winger Gavin Massey has not figured since November and Viv Solomon-Otobor is back on the bench with new striker Joe Dodoo.

Their goal at Northampton was as a result of a mistake in what was otherwise a poor game where Wigan dominated early on but ran out of ideas. But it’s a win, and that might raise their game early on, especially as their away form is miles better than their home form. Sort out the defensive frailties from Bristol and we should have too much for them.
3-1 Oxford.

this could be the time to put right that painful & record home defeat under Clotet,
with Lee and Barker up to speed, potential is there to totally annihilate them 5-0 ,or more

LAST U’s win over the Latics in Oxford :

Looking at the weather there might not be a game this weekend. -5 on Friday night. -1 at game time with a 20mph wind

yep thats the forecast in 3 days ( link below) ..... though the covers at the breeze block are fairly decent, so it should go ahead, albeit on a hard and slippery surface
shame our slum landlord was too tight to connect up the ( apparently pipework installed) undersoil heating
cant see the pitch being watered pre match if the match is on though

Remember it well, I am sat behind the Judas banner which I made a few hours earlier.
Still have the Mail on Sunday and Sunday Journal which featured big stories on this.
We won but it was a crap game and kicked off very late

Nice picture that. I’m sure I was in there somewhere

Can’t we just move it to Sunday when it’s warmer?
That’ll be 354 individual pieces of paperwork to complete by hand in triplicate, faxed to the EFL and the ref is washing his hair. Can’t see it happening - the ref is quite strict about washing hair on a Sunday.

Sunday temperature is a max of 4 degrees with stronger wind so real feel will be -3 so not a lot of difference.

Sunday temp is 5 degrees from about 13:00 and wind direction and speed about the same as Saturday. It might feel colder but the ground will be playable.
