Other European European Super League one step closer?

Has anyone seen the reaction from italy or Spain? I imagine they are equally irked.

Would be interesting to see if players take action against this.

On radio 5 today - Swansea fan pointed out they have won a trophy more recently than Spurs 😂

Reality Check

Are clubs names changing - No
Are the clubs players changing - No
Do most of these clubs usually play each other in the Champions League - Yes
How much do the clubs get after FIFA/UEFA, etc have taken their cut/expenses from competitions?
Is there a market for a European Super League from broadcasting and commercial activity. - Probably
Roughly 1/2 of Premiership clubs made a profit going back to 18/19, we don't know how Covid will have impacted them.
The EFL and FA Cup are less of a priority these days.
You are always such a toady

There's a bit of scrambling back from the (financially) big clubs involved. They are now saying promotion and relegation would be allowed.

So if a team gets relegated (e.g. Spurs or Arsenal) would they have to pay back their bungs?

I hope they get kicked out of the league and their fans turn their back on them. The amount of fans of those clubs I know personally in Oxford is ridiculous and I imagine it’s pretty much the same across the country. Would be great if these fans started following their local teams instead.

The problem is, after all the initial huffing and puffing, the majority of these fans will all fall in line eventually and accept it.

They should be barred from playing football for the rest of the season have all points expunged send them to the likes of Rochdale, Morcambe, Southend, Bristol Rovers and show these greedy bastards and their over overpriced w****r players what football is all about. Oh and while they’re at it let the FA ban foreign ownership of British sporting clubs

MUFC have left the ECA, Ed Woodward has stepped down from UEFA roles.

So are they now kicked out of the Europa League?

Juventus left it last night.

They have effectivly left European football.

UPDATE: All the Italians have left the ECA now.

Woah

There might be some spare stadiums kicking around soon which we could dismantle if it becomes franchise football

Would this now mean Sky pulling out of the tv deal for the premiership? Will sky be allowed to do so and if so who will take over the tv deals? BT have some tv deal but would they want to take on SKY’s tv deal? Doubt it. So what will happen with the promotion and relegation to and from the premiership?

I blame Leicester City. How dare they have the temerity to actually win the Premiership! It was never going to end well after that.
And I bet old jug ears Lineker will be complaining that Leicester aren’t included in this.

If they can get a wriggle on and put this through in the next few weeks it’d be much appreciated. Get rid of the so called ‘big 6’ and automatically move us up 6 places making us league one champions!!

It’d get rid of this stress of will we/won’t we make the playoffs! 😜
But then Sw*nd*n won't be relegated!

The Sky Sports reporter listed clubs that are not invited, Ajax have won more European titles than Man City, Juventus, Ath Madrid Spurs and Arsenal! But are not invited!

Benfica, won more than Spurs, Arsenal, Man City and Athletico Madrid... Not invited!
