International News Trumps parting gestures

There are a lot of differing and disparate political and social views on this website - left, & right, remain or leave, etc - but I don't think you're going to get much support for good old Stephen's views here. He does indeed come from a truly multi-racial town and that seems to have contributed to making him the far-right racist he is. His bile and vitriol is generally aimed at people who aren't white, not just at people who 'threaten our way of life'. His access to social media platforms has been limited because of hate speech and calls to violence. Oh, and I might have pointed this out previously - he's a common criminal with a lengthy record (assault, mortgage fraud, criminal damage, using a false passport, trespassing, contempt of court, etc, etc). He's hardly Martin Luther King is he? He's a racist, relying on mugs like you to propagate and defend his views.

One of the best posts on here. We need a "Hall of Fame" for some that are just bang on.
There are wide and disparate views on here from all colours of the spectrum but the majority are well argued, valid and genuine beliefs. Something TR just wouldn`t get because he`s all about the "shouty headline", the media clicks........... and the money. No more, no less.

Michael Sherwin on CNN at present, US Attorney District of Columbia. Felony murder charges could be brought against some Capitol rioters e.g. those that left pipe bombs, s**t just got very real for some of them. That’s 20 years to life for a guilty verdict.

USA, USA, USA, USA!

I was at Center Parcs at Woburn a few weeks before lockdown in March. Walking back from the pool to our lodge, we noticed a number of Police Cars around the back of the pool complex.

Imagine my surprise when reading the news later to find out that Yaxley-Lemon was there in the pool and got himself arrested and charged with common assault.

He claims the bloke he punched in the pool was touching up his 8 yo daughter and he was trying to affect a citizens arrest. No evidence of that, no witnesses, no cctv footage to corroborate his story, no lifeguards who saw anything other than him assault someone, nobody else arrested at the time or later, just people saying what he did . . .which was basically punch an Asian bloke, in a packed childrens pool at a family holiday resort. Most of us go through life without ever coming anywhere near being arrested....'ol Waxy attracts it like flies round shite. Maybe he's just a complete bellend.

After reading this thread and TT's (Cassox) bile ridden cowardly reactions (Not worthy of being called responses) I'll come back once he's banned. I'd love to see him spout off at my local, but then he has a keyboard......
TT? Is that his initials? Who is he? Is he known to people here?

It must get really depressing only seeing one side of a political divide. The reality is there are appalling left wing and right wing regimes, both through history and the world today. Open your mind that your side has made as many mistakes as the other side. Its a much more enlightening place to be and you end up with a better balanced view of mankind.
I’ve always found it utterly bizarre anyone takes a pre determined side to any issue. (Expect matters retaliating to the U’s on the pitch of course)

I think i hit a nerve when i said about Ruskin College......thats where all the numbskulls went to get their worthless pieces of paper after they kicked their skag habits. oooooooo ban him ban him......thats because the argument is being lost.....a bit like Trumps banning from farcebook and twatter........i see one internet provider has banned Farcebook and Twatter from using them.....many more are expected ,heres hoping they get the boot from all providers antidemocratic scum....zuckerberg...Clegg pffffffft

Do you have any other proof that the same man was actually charged other than the criminal's own account? I can't see any media stories to back this up. It is also .unlikely the CPS would have passed on this information to him as there would be the issues of prejudice of a fair trial and the fact he's a criminal still under charge. His entire 'career' is based on a web of lies and prejudice, a man who has montised the currency of hate and done very well for himself in the process. You're one of the idiots enabling his racism, violence and hatred.

I wouldn't ban you because an argument has been lost but because you sympathise with and promote the views of a known racist and crook and that, by association, makes your views unwelcome here.

Exactly what I'd expect - the further rantings of a racist sympathiser. Do you actually read what anybody else posts and wonder why you're in a minority of one here? Show me any independent reporting of this man being charged, other than the rantings of a crook and liar.

Yes, that does also amaze me as well. Cassox is the only member who seems to believe that he - in a minority of one - is the only poster capable of seeing the true picture, whatever the topic.
Ah yes, well he is the Truthteller Pete!

There is little rational debate or facts.
But I guess that it the way that politics has been encouraged to go (example being set by the US)

What has being a woman got to do with it? The Copper being killed has everything to do with it as it demonstrates that the mob were violent.
Everyone knew there were going to be huge amounts of marchers - they were all over town - yet there was virtually no security. There were "vigilante" groups wandering around amongst the crowd with machine guns - way too much for a handful of police with hand guns! Most of the "mob" probably aren't the smartest but were, in my opinion, unknowingly coerced into being part of a carefully managed charade. What irony if the evacuation of the house was no more than a fire drill to allow Trump supporters to commit acts which finally led to his removal or impeachment.

Like sheep, the marchers followed blindly the people in front of them waving their flags and before they knew it were on the steps. They probably had no idea of the wider context - that they would be seen as domestic terrorists acting in a way which undermines Western democracy and the constitution. OK a few got into the chamber and did some damage, but I think a minority? If this really was a "attack" why weren't stormtroopers dropping in on ropes from helicopters within minutes? If the pictures from TV were live there didn't seem to be any visible increase in security seemed for at least an hour. The official responsible for security in the House of Representatives, the sergeant at arms, has resigned. Reports say US Capitol Police (USCP) chief Steven Sund is also resigning, effective 16 January, following calls from Ms Pelosi.

Given that Trump had vowed a little earlier that day that he would join marchers on Capitol Hill why was anyone allowed to even get close? Apparently much tighter security at the BLM march. Mr president could have been very vulnerable had he decided to keep his promise and show up. Immediately I thought "Kennedy" but Donald had the good sense to stay at home and work on his carefully worded last hurrah for Twitter.

There seems to be a little of the conspiracy theorist to this or are you playing devil's advocate? So, who was potentially behind this 'carefully managed charade'? Is it true that many were carrying guns (some certainly were), after all, the carrying laws are somewhat stricter in Washington and you can't legally carry guns on at monuments (including prominent through-fares in this case. I'd agree that some people probably just followed the mob and didn't for a minute think of the wider implications, but not so the right wing vigilante groups (I don't like referring to them as 'militias', it confers a level of authority). We saw QAnon & 6MWE sweatshirts, these people didn't think they just on a protest walk.
