Ex Player Alex Rodriguez Gorrin

We should keep a log of every mistake that he's made.

Portsmouth (a) - gets beaten front post
Portsmouth (h) - gets beaten far too easily. Although he did save in the shootout.
Wembley - Flapped the corner. Too many men around him. Should have stayed on his line. Gave away a penalty.
Lincoln (a) - should be saving both goals
Sunderland (h) - almost goes through his hands
Accrington (a) - he quite literally punches someone in the face
Gillingham (a) - gets beaten at the front post for the first goal.
Peterborough (a) - gets caught in no mans land. Although it's 50/50 whether that's his fault or not. CBs should be doing more there. Goes through his legs for the third goal.
MK Dons (h) - although a couple of players should have brought down their attacker before he had the chance to shoot, Eastwood really should be saving that.
Charlton (a) - through his legs again. Their second goal was quite literally straight at him and it goes through his hands.
Rochdale (h) - fumbled the save and put it on a plate for their striker. Luckily the striker completely mishit and scuffed it.
Wigan (a) - Comes and collects the delivery from the free kick, drops the ball and wigan miss an open goal.
Swindon (h) - calamity for the second goal.

This is just from the Play Offs onwards and doesn't include mistakes from previous seasons (because there has been many from the last season or two!). Near enough every game he's played in since the play offs he has cost us a goal. Feel free to check out the highlights on YouTube if you want to disagree. Easty was great in the first couple of seasons we had him but has been a liability since. How long can Karl keep picking him if he costs us goals?

The list is growing..

It’s gonna be Eastwood, Ruffels and all the other out of form players starting for a while yet

Something along the lines of "Everyone keeps telling me that Mark Sykes is a good footballer" and "You can't teach a midfielder to watch his shoulder from a throw in".

Selfy on the radio says KR has thrown him under the bus.

Sykes would probably have missed the bus he was thrown towards with today's performance.

Said it on the match thread - but I would put that 30 minute cameo from Sykes in my list of worst individual Oxford performances I've seen over the past thirty years.

Every time he got the ball, he panicked and gave it away.

But then, with five minutes to go in a game you're trying to see out, to let your man run past you into the area on a simple throw-in? You just cannot do that.

I don't expect we'll see much of him in the next couple of months (expect maybe the Tinpot Trophy).

Bearing in mind he held back on some including a ‘no comment’ on Eastwood, the subs got the flack and Sykes got namechecked as someone who underperformed.

Alright in a number of positions - master of none. All the subs helped ruin the performance today...

Bit rich of the manager to say other people tell him he’s a good player when he gave him the number 10 shirt in the summer. Does he give players the 10 shirt because other people think he’s good, then? Not because he rates him? We’ll gloss over all the times he’s gushed over him previously, too. Let’s just focus on that big bus. Karl’s upset.

He doesn’t need stitching up any more than he’s stitched himself up with his performance. That switching to the Republic is looking optimistic.

He was fantastic against Newcastle and I thought he was going to kick on. However, he just hasn't unfortunately. Lacks end product in terms of goals and assists.

He was awful. After looking really good coming on Tuesday.
He is OOC at the end of the season and did himself no favours today.

That seemed a strange decision at the time.
Not sure he has made a ROI squad yet. He needs to really up his game

Turning into a liability. However, he'll be hereuntil the end of the season due to the fact Robinson can spot defensive or goalkeeping talent.

Are the republic any better than Northern Ireland? They looked terrible against England reserves so not certain why it’s a step up, I assumed it was a religious thing as he is unlikely to play in a tournament with either.

He isn’t international class is he, been up and down here but even when he is up has not been able to push on, not as good as Gavin Whyte who is sadly wasting away not playing for Cardiff.
